ABOUT THE MASTERCLASS
More than 50% of the jobs that exist today will disappear in the next decade. The accelerating pace of change in the virtualization of work, the externalization of workforces, the decomposition of jobs and the emergence of online labour markets will lead to dramatically shifting compositions of the workforce.
The impact of Industry 4.0, deep machine learning and social robotics will add additional layers of complexity and shifts. While all these forces hold opportunities for development, they are also associated with significant elements of risk. How does the organisation of the future look when more than 80% of the workforce is externalized? How do careers evolve when many entry jobs are taken by computers and “bots”. How does the labour market function when work is no longer translated into jobs and when candidates are translated into capabilities. And what does it mean for the Human Resources function when almost everything we know from HR will become digital. What does design thinking mean for HR? How does the consumerization and the “appification” impact HR? And what about analytics? What is a digital customer journey? It is the mix of opportunities and challenges that is addressed in the workshop on “The Future of HR”.
